Item Description: Regency Enemble

This gorgeous ensemble is inspired by gowns worn by Empress Josephine and Désirée Clary (Queen of Sweden) at Napoleon's court. Both empire waist Regency pieces are made entirely of silk dupioni. The ubiquitous white gown has a gathered front and short puffed sleeves. The neckline and sleeves are embellished with beaded organza rosettes and there is a band of embroidered ribbon around the hem. The bodice of the gown is lined, and the dress laces up the back through gold grommets. The trained open robe is made of wine silk dupioni and trimmed with white lace. The fully lined robe ties closed in the front with satin ribbon.
Perfect for a regal walk down the aisle, the robe can be removed for dancing at the reception. The simple white gown can be worn to a Regency dance or a Jane Austen tea party! Both pieces are dry clean only. This ensemble is new and has only been worn by a model for these pictures.

The cape is fully lined, with polysuede, not satin, so you won't freeze (satin takes on the ambient temperature and won't keep you warm). The cape closes with a goldtone metal clasp.
