Often associated with Napoleon or Jane Austen novels, Regency clothes are both comfortable and light. The bodice is usually gathered in the front and the back, with a deep, squared-off neckline. The full skirt is attached just under the bustline, frequently covered with a band of trim. The sleeves are usually short and puffy, but can be long and tiered. These light-weight gowns were often worn with either a Spencer jacket (daytime) or a shawl (evening wear). A small train can also be incorporated into this style. Price range $300.00 and up.
